This Cookie Policy explains how ACUPARA ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on acuparastore.com (the "Site"), and how you can control them. The Site is based at Carrer de Rogent 52, 08026 Barcelona, Spain.
For more information about how we handle personal information, please read our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device when you visit it. They let the website remember things, such as the contents of your cart or your cookie choices, and help the website owner understand how the site is used.
- First-party cookies are set by the website you're visiting (here, our Shopify store).
- Third-party cookies are set by another company, such as Meta or Google.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
We also use similar technologies, such as pixels (small pieces of code that report events like a page view or purchase) and browser local storage. In this policy, "cookies" includes these technologies.
How we use cookies
We use cookies in four categories.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the Site to work. They let you add items to your cart, check out securely, keep your session active, remember your country and currency, and record your cookie choices. They are set by Shopify, our e-commerce platform. Because the Site can't work properly without them, they don't require your consent, and you can't switch them off through our cookie banner. You can block them in your browser settings, but parts of the Site, such as the cart and checkout, will then stop working.
Preference cookies
Preference cookies remember choices you make, such as your country, language, or currency, so the Site looks and works the way you expect. Where these choices are essential to the service you've asked for (for example, showing prices in your local currency), we treat them as strictly necessary.
Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are visited and how people find us, so we can improve it. We use Shopify Analytics and, if enabled, Google Analytics. Where the law requires consent, these cookies are only set after you accept them.
Marketing cookies
These cookies are used by advertising partners, mainly Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure whether our ads lead to visits and purchases and to show our ads to relevant audiences. We use the Meta Pixel through Shopify's Facebook & Instagram sales channel. Where the law requires consent, these cookies are only set after you accept them.
Alongside the Meta Pixel, Shopify's Facebook & Instagram sales channel can send event data (such as a purchase) to Meta directly from our store's systems, using Meta's Conversions API. We configure this to respect the same cookie choices: where consent is required, this data is only sent after you've agreed to marketing cookies.
Cookies used on the Site
The table below lists the main cookies used on the Site. Cookie names, purposes, and durations are set by the providers and can change without notice. Durations are approximate. Shopify may also set additional or renamed cookies as it updates its platform. You can see the cookies currently stored on your device in your browser settings.

Your consent
When you first visit the Site, the cookie banner (provided through Shopify's customer privacy tools) asks whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. Depending on where you are, you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category.
- If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you give consent.
- In other regions, some analytics or marketing cookies may be set by default, as permitted by local law. You can opt out at any time as described below.
- Strictly necessary cookies are always active.
How to change your choices or withdraw consent
You can change your mind at any time:
- Cookie settings: use the privacy choices link in the Site footer to reopen the cookie settings and change or withdraw your consent. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect cookies used before you withdrew it, but non-essential cookies will no longer be used from then on.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will stop parts of the Site from working.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including through marketing cookies, for that browser.
- Meta settings: you can manage how Meta uses data for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
- Google Analytics (if enabled): Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Your choices are stored in a cookie on the browser and device you use. If you use another browser or device, or delete your cookies, you'll need to set your choices again.
California residents: for more about opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information, see section 10 of our Privacy Policy.
Third-party cookies
Third-party providers, such as Meta and Google, may use the information collected through their cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Shopify: www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
- Meta: www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
- Google: policies.google.com/privacy
